The Miss Latina Racine Scholarship Corporation announces the following three 2008 scholarship applications are now available:

·        Leonor Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 Scholarship

Applicants eligible to apply are male or female students of Latino heritage.  Applicant should be a high school graduate currently enrolled in an accredited college as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.  Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

·        Cruz Rendon Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 Scholarship

Eligible applicants should meet the following criteria:

High School Senior graduating in 2008

Resident of the Racine Unified, Waterford, or Burlington School District

Accepted or expect to be accepted for fall registration at an accredited college, university, nursing, vocational, or technical school.

Can demonstrate a financial need or special circumstance deserving consideration for this scholarship.

Can demonstrate good academic performance with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

·       Ernesto & Margaret Malacara Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship you must have completed high school and be enrolled in an accredited college, accepted into the education program.

The deadline to return all applications is Friday, August 22, 2008.
